Unfortunately, Good Charlotte is no longer together and Joel and Benji split up from the band to form a pop rock duo called The Madden Brothers.
They officially formed in 2014 with help from their producer Pharell Williams and their first single 'We Are Done' was released in June 2014 and their second single, 'Dear Jane' was released soon after. Their debut album, Greetings From California, was released on September 16, 2014 and is explained as a lot less punk rock and a lot more pop influenced than any other songs produced from Good Charlotte. With an upbeat, airy, summer feelings to their new songs, it was revolved around 70s and 80s music but also made fans scratch their heads with confusion at the huge change.
With an Australian tour as a side project in late 2014, The Madden Brothers are expected to be very busy. Tour dates and a release date for an album or new songs from Good Charlotte are yet to be released and are unconfirmed.
